The St. Clair Chamber of Commerce is a one-stop resource for business opportunity information. The Chamber provides business resources you can use, guidance you can count on, and assistance when you need it.

In seeking small business opportunities, timing based on the availability of information is everything.  Historically, the right-place at the right-time scenario has been instrumental in finding success. The Chamber, working with numerous pro-business community partners can offer recognized economic development possibilities coupled with community services designed to assist in creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and corporations alike.

The Chamber has been identified as a Business Resource Center and counseling location for the Southeast Michigan Chapter of SCORE (Counselors to America's Small Business). SCORE is an SBA-supported organizations of volunteer professionals who assist new generations of aspiring business owners make thier dreams come true when starting or expanding a business.

The Chamber has also formed a partnership with the St. Clair Library to develop a cooperative effort known as the Small Business Information Center (SBIC). The project was designed to provide information resources to an expanded community of small business entrepreneurs. The SBIC helps entrepreneurs find the best information available on any business issue or topic, thereby assisting in identifying accurate and comprehensive information necessary in making small business operational decisions. The library is located at 310 South Second Street in downtown St. Clair.

The Chamber maintains membership in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and has available to it the many resources of this dynamic national organization. The national Chamber has been recognized as one of the four best resources for business startups. Its comprehensive startup assistance is available via various web-based tools and reousrces, including a voluminous small business library and government contracting section.

One of the Chamber's business development partners is the St. Clair Downtown Development Authority. As such, the Chamber is responsible for the administration of the DDA's "Come to St. Clair" program, which was established to find small businesses that support the community's effort to create a unique shopping and business experience in the identified Downtown Development District of the City of St. Clair.
